I'm a problem solver. People pay me to solve their problems... and if they don't pay me I'd do it for free. I can't help it, I see a problem and I can't stop until I find the solution. Here's a free tip for everyone, something I have found out during the years:
The solution to your problem does not begin with someone else doing something.
I like simple yet effective alternate to fossil fuel energy sources. One good idea from a few decades ago was to try and use the Gulf Stream as an energy source. The project was a success in that the paddle generators could produce consistently high levels of energy. The project failed, however, due to the blades breaking off from the stress caused by water current fluctuations.
ReplyDeleteInitially, oar-like blades were used, but when they kept breaking, they wanted to try a model with no blades, which pretty much resembled the rotating heat vents on rooftops. They depended on federal grants, and their money was cut-off before the could try the alternate model. I hear that it is now one of several approaches which are being tried by scientists in Taiwan, as they are experimenting with tapping the strong, consistent ocean currents in the Strait of Taiwan.
